Reopen a Work Order

OBJECTIVE

The Reopen This Work Order icon is available on the Work Order. This option is used to reopen a closed work order. When the work order is reopened, the system lets the user reset the status of the work order to one of the statuses to which the user has access. This makes it possible to enter new transactions on the work order.

 

PREREQUISITEs

 

Steps

To reopen a work order, the user must have access to the work order to be reopened and to the Reopen the Work Order icon.

 

Security Management

  maestro* > Maintenance > General Maintenance > Processing > Security Management

 

To provide access to the icon:

  1. Select the Security Management option.
  2. Select a user.
  3. Click the Access Restriction tab.
  4. In the menu on the left, click the + icon in the Projects menu.
  5. Click on Work Orders.
  6. Check the User will have access to reopen a work order option.
  7. Click Save.
  8. Click Exit.

 

Work Order

  maestro* > Project > Work Orders > Functions > Work Order

 

To reopen a work order with a closed status:

  1. Select a work order from the Display Only Transferred Entries file or enter the work order number manually in the W.O. No. field.
  2. When the closed work order is displayed on the screen, click the Reopen This Work Order icon.
  3. Select the new status for the work order and click OK.

 

Only the statuses to which the user has access are available.

  1. The work order is displayed on the screen with the new status.
  2. Complete the information as needed.
  3. Click Save.
